“I received a funded offer to a DPhil in Primary Care Health Sciences at Oxford, and Dr. Imam helped with a lot of the process.
Dr. Imam supported my application to a funded DPhil programme to Oxford. His structured admissions advice was very helpful for me in understanding how PhD admissions evaluate candidates. He is also very pleasant to work with, and always makes time for supporting my application and answering questions.."

"Dr. Imam is deeply committed to helping prospective PhD candidates maximize their chances of success. I began by attending his PhD Masterclass, which gave me a clear and structured overview of the application process. I then benefited greatly from his one-on-one mentoring sessions, where he guided me in refining my personal statement and preparing thoroughly for interviews. His approach was both supportive and constructive, offering encouragement while also identifying areas for improvement."

“I reached out to Dr Imam on LinkedIn after connecting at the IMNHC 2023 in South Africa. Later that year while making my MSc application to Oxford, I re-connected to him for guidance. As he was on his Oxford DPhil at the time, I believed I could gain from his experience. Despite busy schedules, we were able to find a mutually convenient time to discuss.

He shared a wealth of knowledge with me during our 1-hour consultation. Before reviewing my Personal Statement, he took time to understand my background and asked several questions which made me think deeply about what I really wanted, and the best way to achieve it. We discussed other aspects of the application beyond the personal statement that helped strengthen my position as a strong candidate.

The session helped me gain clarity and I reduced the number of applications I made to 1 solid application with an impactful PS, all of which led to my admission offer and full funding for my MSc Clinical Trials at Oxford.

I would highly recommend his mentorship for anyone considering postgraduate studies..”

“Abdulazeez, for me, is an example of rare people who turn out to be mentors. I have known him for a short span, and in it came a lot of great learning, unwavering support, kindness, listening ears and a great model who mentored me throughout my Oxford application journey. He is detailed oriented and has the willingness to always support someone despite him having competing priorities. Best of all, he is a great believer in reverse mentoring and a champion of paying it forward! Deeply honoured to be his mentee!"
